How turbo works

Turbo

Turbo has lots of effects. One of those is boosting horse power off the charts,
Then again it also depends what kind of turbo you installed. In this article we'll learn how it increases power, and how to adjust it

How it works

A turbo charger is a type of forced injection system that compresses air to the cylinder of the engine. The more air you have going in the more fuel you burn, Which means more power.
Turbo chargers turbine spins as fast as 140,000 rpm thats about 35 times faster than a car. It uses the exhaust flow from the engine to spin the turbine, which spins an air pump. The temperatures can  reach extremely high. To support the high speeds and heat a turbo charger is made of special parts that consist of ceramic blades and fluid bearings. This type of bearing supports a shaft. This benefits two things,  It cools the shaft and some other turbo charger parts, and it lets the shaft to spin without friction.

This Picture illustrates the structure of the system.

Easy Performance Modifications To Start With On Your Car

There are a million of Modifications to make to your car.
Some cost from $20 to $100 and Others from $1,000 to $10,000.
It all depends on how much money you want to spend on your car.

Three (3) easy Performance modifications would be:

             Air Intake:
There are two types of Air Intakes.
  • Short-Pipe Intakes This design usually includes an aluminum pipe and high flow filter. This increases the flow rate of air into your car's intake manifold which helps the engine make more power, especially at higher RPM. What's bad about this is that since it is under the hood hot air isn't as dense as cold air so you don't get the full amount of power

  • Cold Air Intakes: A cold air intake draws ambient air from a location away from the engine. This is usually away from the engine around the bottom of the front bumper or the wheel well.

             Exhaust systems:

These are simple,  An exhaust system is just piping used to guide reaction exhaust gasses away from a controlled combustion inside a engine. So pretty much it guides all the gasses away from the engine.

Depending on the design of the exhaust system gasses will flow out faster or slower. The wider the pipe the more flow you will have which means more power and your engine will run easier.

You can also change your muffler to adjust the sound of your car.

Depending how your muffler is design will deepened on how it sounds

   Coil-overs:

Coil-overs will increase handling on your car incredibly, It consists of a shock absorber with a coil spring encircling it. Some coil-overs allow adjustment of ride height and stiffness.

   Two Types of Coil-over:

There are Two different types of coil-overs:  full coil-overs and slip on coil-overs

  • Full coil-overs:  are matched up with a shock from the factory

  •  Slip on coil-overs: are mostly just adjustable springs.
